This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to Playboy.com Inc.’s (collectively, "Playboy") family of websites, WAP sites, features, applications, tools and services (the "Properties"). When we use "our", "we" or "us" in this Policy, we mean not only Playboy.com ,Inc., but our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates and the agents and contractors that operate or administer any of the Properties or conduct various services and activities on our behalf, and any reference to “you” or “your” refers to you, the user of the Properties (including any person whom we reasonably believe is acting pursuant to your instructions or under your authority).

This Policy explains what information we collect about you and what we do with it. We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time, and we will notify you of any material changes to the Policy by posting the new Policy here and changing the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to check this page periodically for any changes. By using or navigating any of the Properties, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by this Policy or any modified Policy as posted. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use or visit any of our Properties.  Please note, we use the term “use” and “using” to mean anytime you download, copy, transmit, access, initiate or utilize any of the capabilities, functions, features, applications or tools of our Properties or if you merely attempt to do any of these things.

What information do we collect?

We collect personal information that you provide to us such as your name, e-mail address, street address, mobile phone number and telephone number. We also collect credit card information from you. We generally collect this personal information on our registration and order forms when you sign up to receive products or services from any of our Properties. We may also collect information from our surveys such as age, gender and income level.
We collect IP addresses and anonymous demographic information (such as your zip code) and may use this data to: tailor your experience at our Properties; provide content in which we think you may be interested; display content according to your preferences; and analyze traffic to our Properties.

What do we do with the information we collect?

We use personal information and other demographic or profile information you provide to us to fulfill your order or request; to provide you with information about Playboy, some of our partners and third party companies in which we think you may be interested; and to contact you when necessary.

We use IP addresses and anonymous demographic information to tailor your experiences at our Properties by showing content in which we think you will be interested and displaying content according to your preferences. Anonymous demographic information is shared with advertisers and market researchers on an aggregate basis.
We use information collected to evaluate and improve our Properties. We may develop and use, in our sole discretion, consumer research which may be based on your use of any of our Properties.

Personal information collected on the Properties is stored and processed in the United States and by using any of the Sites, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

Do we share the information we collect with third parties?

In some cases, we will share information we collect (including personal information or anonymous demographic information) with third party companies who may offer products or services in which we believe you may be interested. We also share this information with third parties with whom we partner to co-promote and administer sweepstakes and contests on our Properties.

We may also share information we collect with third party service providers to manage certain aspects of the services we provide, such as maintaining our servers and processing or fulfilling orders for products and services you purchase through the Sites.

We may also disclose your information in special cases if required to do so by law, court order or other governmental authority or when we believe in good faith that disclosing this information is otherwise necessary or advisable, including, for instance, to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interfering with the rights or property of Playboy, another user or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

Is the information submitted in public forums confidential?

No. The Properties may offer chat rooms, forums, message boards and/or news groups to our users. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas becomes public information. Accordingly, you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information and you do so at your own risk.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are pieces of information generated by web servers and stored in your computer for future access. The Properties use cookie technology to enhance your experience by making it easier for you to navigate through our Properties or make a feature work better.

Do we use web beacons?

Yes. Some of our Properties may contain electronic images known as "web beacons" or single-pixel gifs that allow us to count visitors and deliver co-branded services. Web beacons collect limited information including cookie number, time and date of a page view and a description of the page on which the web beacon resides.

Do we use Device Identifiers?

Yes.  We reserve the right to: (i) obtain information from your wireless carrier about the type of device you are using, (ii) use this information to notify you of the types of services, features and tools that may be available to you on your device, and (iii) collect the mobile phone number assigned to your device and associate that phone number to the wireless device identification information and any Information you may disclose to us.  Lastly, some mobile phone service providers are required to operate a system that will indicate the physical location of devices that use their services.  Depending on the provider, we may automatically receive this information.  In the future, may choose to use and store this information to provide enhanced location-based services as well as to serve location-targeted advertising.

Are the Sites secure?

We are committed to maintaining the security of your information and have measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All credit transactions occur in a secure area of the Properties using Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") software to process orders. SSL encrypts the information you input on the Sites. In addition, all information is stored in a secure location behind a firewall with limited administrative access.  In addition to the foregoing, various third party contractors of ours may have access to your information.  These contractors are held to strict policies to safeguard the information and provide the same level of privacy protection as guaranteed by us.  Although we take these precautions in maintaining the security of your information (and other information) very seriously, we cannot and do not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur or that any communications over the Internet, telephone, wireless or other communications means will be uninterrupted, error free or not intercepted by others improperly and without authorization.

Does this Policy apply to linked sites other than the Sites?

No. The Properties contain links to other Internet sites, resources and sources of Playboy. By clicking on an ad banner or other link, you will be redirected off the Properties and to third party websites. Playboy is not responsible for the privacy policies of such sites. You should make sure that you read and understand the privacy policies of these sites and direct any concerns regarding external links to the site administrator or webmaster of that third party website.

Special Notice Regarding Usage by Children and Minors.     

OUR PROPERTIES ARE NOT INTENDED FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 AND/OR THE AGE OF MAJORITY IF RESIDING IN STATES WHERE THE AGE OF MAJORITY IS GREATER THAN EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE.  If you are a parent or guardian who knows or has discovered your child under the age of majority has submitted his or information without your consent, permission or authorization, once we verify you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, upon request, we will remove your child’s information from our database. To request removal of your child's information, email us at ______________ and be sure to include the same login-in, password and other identifying information to assist us in locating your child’s information.  If you don’t know or are not sure, please so state in your email.

Do We Offer Sweepstakes, Contests and Promotions via the Properties?

We may offer sweepstakes, contests and promotions (collectively, “Contests”) through our Properties that may require registration or some form of submission of information.  If you choose to enter a Contest, your information may be disclosed to third parties in connection with the administration of such Contest (i.e., winner selection, prize fulfillment, winner list, etc.) and as may otherwise be required by law.  By entering a Contest, you agree to the official rules governing such contest, which may include allowing the sponsor thereof to use your name, voice or likeness for advertising and marketing purposes.

How do I unsubscribe?

All e-mails you receive from us will include specific instructions on how to unsubscribe and you may unsubscribe at any time. Additionally, we give you the following options for removing your information from our database:
(1) send an email to admin@playboy.com;
(2) select the opt-out link at the bottom of any Playboy email and follow the instructions provided;
